Imagine! has a long history of offering creative and innovative services for people with cognitive disabilities. Imagine! has developed a number of programs where we are using progressive technologies, or creating new technologies to better serve our clients. The intent of these programs is to apply the mission and values of Imagine! by identifying and delivering services that bring new opportunities to the people who we serve and support.

Communication Room |
|
Imagine! is in the process of creating a communication room for serving our clients. The goals for this project are to provide various communication opportunities and approaches to Imagine! clients who have a wide range of abilities, and to provide technical assessments and training to clients with communication barriers as the initial step to assisting with the procurement of personal communication devices through Medicaid and the Division for Vocational Rehabilitation funding sources.
Clients will have access to a wide range of communication technology including (but not limited to): voice activation devices, switch access, touch screens, head tracking systems, AAC devices, screen readers, and magnifiers.
Clients will participate in a communication class where determination of communication needs would be established. Clients will then be provided access to communication materials and/or communication devices programmed for their individual needs and will be able to utilize the devices or materials throughout the course of their day to determine the sustainability of usage. Imagine! will also help the client to acquire his or her own communication device or other adaptive technology.
