Charles SmartHome residents Gerald and Donna have a lot going on: they are getting married soon and have moved into an amazing new home together. Gerald and Donna have limited resources for their big wedding day and so Twisted Pine Brewing Company donated 30% of their profits from Sunday, June 21, to the couple.

Donna and other SmartHome residents dressed up and painted some pumpkins for Halloween as part of their art class.

On Saturday, October 24, close to 100 neighbors, consumers, family members, and friends attended an open house at the Bob and Judy Charles SmartHome.

Donna pitched in and enthusiastically helped guide tours and talked about his experiences living in the home with guests.

This past November, SmartHome residents and staff members enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving dinner thanks to Dave Query, owner of Big Red F Restaurant Group. For the 6th year, Dave donated a complete Thanksgiving dinner to over 400 Imagine! clients and their families. Thanks Dave from the SmartHome team!

Donna has learned to use a computer and now tells about her SmartHome experiences through her own blog. Writing this blog has increased Donna’s self confidence and eagerness to explore new opportunities.  Recently, Donna expressed a desire to write her own book.

Imagine! has committed to creating a zero waste work environment. As part of this process, Imagine! artist/consumers, including Charles Home resident Donna, have been decorating recycle bins for staff members.
